Adaptive Security offers Sexual Harassment Prevention training modules tailored to specific geographic requirements. These trainings are designed to align with state and country-specific regulations, ensuring your organization remains compliant with local laws.

Tip: If you have employees in multiple locations, use Adaptive's Group Builder to organize employees by location and assign the correct training to each group.

United States - State-Specific Requirements

The following states have specific sexual harassment prevention training requirements. We offer compliant training collections that meet all legal mandates for training duration, audience, and frequency:

California

Sexual Harassment Prevention (CA) - Employees
Assign this collection to all non-supervisors in California.

  • Meets California’s requirement for 1 hour of training within 6 months of hire, per Government Code § 12950.1.

  • Required every 2 years.

This collection comprises all modules from the CA Employees collection, plus 5 supervisor-specific modules. Assign as-is to all supervisors in California.

  • Meets California’s requirement for 2 hours of training within 6 months of assuming a supervisory role, per Government Code § 12950.1.

  • Required every 2 years.

Connecticut

Sexual Harassment Prevention (CT) - All Employees & Supervisors
Assign this collection to all employees in Connecticut.

  • Meets Connecticut’s requirement for 2 hours of training under C.G.S. § 46a-60.

  • Required every 10 years (unless significant policy changes occur).

Delaware

Sexual Harassment Prevention (DE) - All Employees & Supervisors
Assign this collection to all employees in Delaware.

  • Meets Delaware’s requirement for interactive training under HB 360 for employers with 50+ employees.

  • Required every 2 years.

Illinois

Sexual Harassment Prevention (IL) - Employees
Assign this collection to all non-supervisors in Illinois.

  • Meets Illinois’s requirement for 1 hour of annual training under the Illinois Human Rights Act (775 ILCS 5/2-109).

  • Required annually.

This collection comprises all modules from the IL Employees collection, plus five supervisor-specific modules. Assign as-is to all supervisors in Illinois.

  • Meets Illinois’s requirement for 1 hour of annual training under the Illinois Human Rights Act (775 ILCS 5/2-110).

  • Required annually.

If your organization is based in Chicago or has employees working there, assign the Bystander Intervention (Chicago) collection in addition to the Illinois Sexual Harassment Prevention collections.

  • Meets Chicago’s requirement for 1 hour of annual bystander intervention training under the Chicago Human Rights Ordinance (§ 6-10-040).

  • Required annually.

Maine

Sexual Harassment Prevention (ME) - All Employees & Supervisors
Assign this collection to all employees in Maine.

  • Meets Maine’s training requirement under Title 26 M.R.S. § 807.

  • Required within 1 year of hire (one-time requirement).

New York

Sexual Harassment Prevention (NY) - All Employees & Supervisors
Assign this collection to all employees in New York.

  • Meets New York’s requirement for interactive training under Labor Law § 201-g and the Human Rights Law (Exec. Law § 296).

  • Also satisfies the NYC Local Law 96 (2018) requirement.

  • Required annually.

Washington

Assign this collection to all employees in Washington.

  • Meets Washington’s requirements under RCW 49.60.030.

  • Required periodically, as determined by employer policy.

United States - Other States

  • Meets requirements under the Equality Act 2010.

  • Meets requirements under the Equality Act 2010, emphasizing leadership accountability.

  • Recommended annually.

Netherlands

  • Meets obligations under the Working Conditions Act (Arbeidsomstandighedenwet).

  • Recommended every 2 years.

  • Meets obligations under the Working Conditions Act (Arbeidsomstandighedenwet), with additional guidance on prevention and reporting.

  • Recommended every 2 years.

France

  • Complies with the French Labour Code (Articles L.1153-1 to L.1153-6).

  • Recommended annually.

Germany

  • Meets requirements under Law No. 14.457/2022 and the Brazilian Labor Code (CLT).

  • Required annually.

India

  • Required annually
